To get to Bohol Island from Singapore, you need to get a direct flight to Cebu (Cebu Pacific / Tigerair, 4h, departure 00:20) and once in Cebu, get a cab to the peer (150pesos - 30min), and board the 2h ferry to Bohol's main port: Taglibaran (550pesos, the earliest ferry which you can catch is at 7am). The best place to stay in on Bohol Island is on the smaller island of Panglao where the best beaches are! Panglao is 30mins TukTuk away from the ferry peer (200pesos).

Leaving Singapore on friday evening, you can basically be on the beach at 10am on saturday morning!!

When you get bcak, do get the timing right for the ferry back to Cebu, as they tend to cancel them or change the timings to quite early rides. The departure tax at Cebu Airport 550 pesos.

One of the great things to do on Panglao, is to enjoy the chilled-out atmosphere at Alona beach, the cheap beer and the great seafood! Its really easy to organise snorkling trip from 5am to 2pm with the 'possibilty' to watch daulphins in good weather, and great snorkling (thousands of multicolored fishes in 2-3m deep water, followed by deep coral "walls", lots of clown fishes, turtles etc

It is also possible to snorkle with whale sharks in a 'reserve area' 2-3 hours of longboat away from Alona Beach. The best is to get there from Cebu island as you get let boat transfer. The entrance fee is quite expensive: 1000pesos to be able to enter the 'ocean-reserve'. The place is, advertised as a 100% chance to see the huge whale sharks but keep in mind that these are not really wild and free animals!

On Bohol itself, rent a motorbike or hire a tuktuk to drive you to the astonishing chocolate hills & Tarsnier Conservation Center. The butterfly farm is quite nice as well with thousands of them flying around you, and there a few historical buildings and churches to visit.
